I spent years of my life pretending to be someone I wasn't.

Everyday I was putting on a facade because I thought that's what I needed to do. Whether it was trying to fit the mold I thought others want me to fit, or trying to be someone that I wished I was, I wasn't true to myself.

There were parts of my true personality that I always tried to hide or change about myself, even with people I would've considered close friends of mine. It was a lonely, unfulfilling way to live. I wouldn't have ever been truly happy.

Music was the one place where I never felt lonely, and never felt like I had to hide anything about myself. It was the one outlet where I got to express my raw feelings and emotions without feeling like I was doing something wrong.

I realized that this a struggle is not unique to me at all, and there are many people out there that feel they have to be someone they aren't. So I've started The Hyde to give everyone a community that encourages and appreciates honesty and authenticity.

While you've probably found this by finding my music first, know that The Hyde is about much more than music. I'm so happy you've found this, and I can't wait to welcome you into the family!
